Authentic African flavours delivered wholesale throughout the UK

Nothara Tradings initially focuses on trusted suppliers in our customer’s primary African market. As demand grows, we will broaden the network to additional African countries, always vetting producers for quality, consistency and compliance with UK food regulations. If you require a product from a region we do not yet cover, let us know; our sourcing team will investigate viable supply routes and keep you updated on availability and lead times to ensure we meet your wholesale needs without unnecessary delay.

Our digital catalogue is designed for trade buyers rather than direct checkout. Each listing displays the product name, concise description, packaging size, country of origin, and indicative availability window. We also highlight any key quality marks or shelf-life considerations relevant to wholesale storage. Pricing is provided on enquiry, allowing us to confirm the latest import costs and volumes. Simply note the items you need and contact our team for tailored quotations and lead times that suit your ordering schedule precisely.

Start by reviewing the catalogue and compiling the SKUs, pack sizes and quantities you require. Submit these details through our online enquiry form, by phone, or via email. A dedicated account handler will confirm availability, pricing, minimum order thresholds and estimated delivery timelines. Once terms are agreed, we issue a pro-forma invoice and arrange shipping or collection as preferred. Regular customers can establish standing orders or call-off schedules, ensuring uninterrupted supply of core African food products tailored to your business.

Minimum order quantities vary depending on product type, packaging and current shipping arrangements. Staple items packed in bulk cases usually start at a single pallet, while specialty lines may require a consolidated container share to remain cost-effective. During your enquiry we discuss your anticipated volume, storage capacity and delivery schedule, then advise the most economical configuration. We are flexible with mixed-product pallets where feasible, enabling smaller businesses to access authentic African foods without over-committing to excess stock or cashflow pressures.

Standard sea freight consignments typically clear UK customs within five to seven working days after vessel arrival, provided all paperwork is accurate and pre-submitted. Air freight may clear sooner, often within forty-eight hours. Nothara Tradings works closely with accredited brokers to lodge import declarations, health certificates and duty payments promptly, reducing hold-ups. Unexpected inspections or documentation queries can extend clearance times; we monitor shipments daily and communicate any changes so you can plan warehouse space and staffing effectively in advance.

Yes. Our import support service includes guiding you through mandatory UK food safety and labelling requirements. We supply copies of supplier certificates, health inspection reports, and ingredient lists so you can meet trading standards and retailer specifications. Where products need translation or additional allergen statements, we help coordinate compliant labels before goods leave their origin. By resolving these details early, we minimise border delays and give your business confidence that every African product can move swiftly onto UK shelves successfully.

Absolutely. The catalogue reflects items currently in stock or regularly scheduled, but our sourcing capability is far broader. Share the product name, brand, origin country and required volume, and we will liaise with our African network to confirm feasibility. Factors such as seasonal availability, export permits and logistics costs are assessed before we present a quotation. If lead times align with your forecast, we secure the supply and update the catalogue so future reorders become seamless for your ongoing needs.

We arrange nationwide delivery through reputable hauliers experienced in food transport. Full pallets can be routed on dedicated vehicles or shared networks for cost efficiency, while smaller consignments may move via temperature-controlled parcel carriers. Customers may also collect from our logistics partner’s warehouse by appointment. During order confirmation, we outline transit times, unloading requirements and any access considerations to ensure a smooth drop. Tracking information is shared as soon as freight departs, giving you full visibility until arrival at destination.

As a newly established company, we currently operate on pro-forma payment to maintain healthy cashflow and competitive pricing. However, we recognise some retailers and caterers prefer account terms. After a period of successful trading and subject to satisfactory credit checks, we can discuss setting up thirty-day terms on agreed limits. We review each request individually, taking order frequency and volume into consideration. Please speak with our accounts team if you would like to explore future credit facilities at your convenience.
